Meet The Team
Michael Pendergrast, a Skagit County native, started as a equipment operator constructing logging roads. In 2012, he took a leap and created PENDER Construction. He and his crew began with logging roads, fish passages, and road maintenance. As business grew, PENDER Construction added residential & commercial site work.
Michael, his wife Trista and their two boys live in Bow, Washington. As a family they enjoy skiing in the winter and boating in the summer. As a graduate of Burlington-Edison High School and Eagle Scout, he gained leadership skills and recognized the value in being a productive member of the local community.
In 2020, a new opportunity arose. Michael is one of the founding members of CF Excavating. This collaboration provides the opportunity to be involved in more expansive and innovative projects. Michael is excited about what CF Excavating can offer you.
Shelby moved from Arizona to Washington when he was 10. He graduated from La Conner High School in 2002. Shelby continued his education, and a passion for football at Mid America Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas. He started at defensive end for the Pioneer football team. In 2005 his hard work and determination rolled into the construction field. Shelby has never looked back. Starting from the bottom working his way through all aspects of heavy, civil construction. He has always enjoyed and maintained a hard work ethic, and pride in his craftsmanship. Shelby has been a heavy civil superintendent for the last 8 years. He has managed many large scale commercial, and civil projects across Western Washington. Safety, transparency, honest, making lasting working relationships, and a high quality of work are all values Shelby strives for throughout every project.
When Shelby is not working on the job site he is busy with his two children and his favorite past times, hunting and fishing.
